MOSCOW, Nov 30 (PRIME) -- The Russian economy is to decline by 4.5% in 2020, head of the Audit Chamber Alexei Kudrin said on November 28 at a forum.
"The European economy will fall by about 8%, even 9% (in 2020). The U.K.’s by 11%. We, as the official statistics say, by 3.9% of the gross domestic product (GDP). I think even more, 4%, even 4.5%," Kudrin said.
He added that the combined decrease of the living standards in the last five years amounted to 10%, and the 2020 fall will add to it. The number of poor people is to grow by 1 million, and no dramatic recovery will happen in the years to come.
